Remedy Specialty Massage Options

Remedy BodyWorks:
We combine various therapeutic methods that center on the body for the promotion of physical health and emotional and spiritual well-being, including massage, deep stretching, relaxation techniques, and practices designed to affect the body's energy flow and flexibility.

Signature Massage:
Our unique massage has a little touch of everything to relax your body, mind and soul.  Hot stones are placed along the spine to relax the muscles before our full body therapeutic massage.  The face massage is done with cold stones and your pick of Remedy massage oils.

Thai Yoga Massage:
Both relaxing and energizing. The therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during treatment.

Therapeutic/Deep Tissue Massage:
Designed to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit, therapeutic Massage is a combination of Therapeutic and Deep Tissue techniques.

Additional Remedy Massage Options

Swedish Massage:
The best-known type of massage, it uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve the circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation.

Pregnancy Massage:
Specifically tailored for the expectant mother's needs. Proper positioning ensures comfort and safety for the mother and baby. It's a popular way to reduce back pain, and avoid pharmaceutical drugs, while the human touch itself can be comforting and provide important emotional support.

Geriatric Massage:
Geriatric massage incorporates basic relaxation and stress relief. It is a beneficial tool in fighting many of the symptoms of aging and provides an alternative approach to muscle stimulation.

Lymphatic Massage:
Utilizing a very light pressure combined with soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes, Lymphatice massage works with the immune system function to significantly increase metabolism and helps the body to eliminate waste and toxins.

Hot Stone Massage:
Deeply soothing and relaxing. Smooth, heated stones such as basalt, a black volcanic rock, are applied to the body to help release stress from the body.

Acupuncture has been around for over 3,500 years and has been used to treat over a billion people worldwide

Acupuncture is a method of healing based on improving the flow of blood to the organs, glands and tissues of the body. Your symptom could be caused by a lack of blood to the symptom area or related gland or organ.

There are over 2000 points in the body where blood flow can be blocked. Acupuncturists study how to find these blocks and remove them with different techniques, including extremely thin needles.

An analogy to explain it is as follows: Have you ever seen a plant or garden that wasn’t being watered? The plants didn’t grow, in fact, they wilted and would die without water.

If you tried to water that plant or garden with a water hose that had a kink or blockage that prevented water from getting through, you would want to remove the blocked hose to allow the plat to flourish and grow to it’s beautiful potential.

The same is true for your body. By removing any blocks or “kinks” in our body we are allowing our body to reach it’s full potential to be healthy. Our body is designed to be well!
